Beautify Bonney Lake

Beautify Bonney Lake

 Saturday, September 19 | 8:30am – NOON

Every third Saturday in September Bonney Lake rallies teams, companies and churches together to serve our city and take on projects to beautify our city.  Over 25 projects, 700 plus volunteers and Open Life leads the trail site that helps students walk safely to Bonney Lake High School from the Brookside neighborhood.

How this event works is you show up dressed for the weather at the Bonney Lake Park & Ride and they will have you sign a release waiver and get your fancy BBL Shirt.  This year they will have Buttered Biscuit there with some food as well as coffee from Starbucks.

After we huddle as a work site and gather all of the needed supplies for our project (which is the Brookside Trails project #18 this year) we will pile in our cars and make our way to the site.  We will unload and pair up on what task we will be doing and get to work for the next couple of hours.  From weeding, moving 15 yards of dirt to level the hills in the trail, 5 yards of bark that goes on the leveled trail, weed-eating, branch cutting, garbage clean up and more…we will do it all in this time with a crew of 20 or more.

At 11:30am we will make our way back to the Park & Ride returning the supplies we borrowed and have lunch.  They will have Taco Time, Pizza from a few different businesses in town and more.
